Having started my career in 1989 as a dispatcher for a leading UK airline I gained a broad knowledge of airline ground ops from check in to weight and balance, meteorology to flight planning and with many types of aircraft. The smallest of turbo props right up to large wide body jets.

Career progression came by way of a ground handling agent where in 2000 I was asked to set up a new base of operation from scratch at London Stansted. This involved sourcing and the purchase of ground service equipment, recruiting staff as well as building relations with airport and government authorities and putting operational procedures in place.

Our core business was the handling of freight including mail, express delivery parcels, oversized cargo and scheduled wide body cargo only aircraft operated by national flag carriers. An area I took a specific role in due to the extra care needed and value was livestock flights predominately race horses.

Having now branched out on my own I am still heavily involved with equine and high value cargo as well as providing flight co-ordination for a VVIP head of state customer.

Even though you can never stop learning and you can never have too much knowledge with over 20 years of ground handling experience I feel well placed to assist you with your ground handling needs.
